Exam Pattern and Scheme

The syllabus covers three main areas. CBT-2 covers similar topics but at a higher difficulty level.

- General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Data Sufficiency, Statement-Conclusion.

Selection Process
- First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) (Common for all posts).

Process of Form Filling & Key Points to Avoid Mistakes
- Step 1: Notification & RRB Zone Selection: Read the CEN 06/2025 notification completely. Select the single RRB zone you wish to apply to (e.g., RRB Mumbai, RRB Chennai). This choice cannot be changed later.
- Step 2: Initial Registration: Complete the initial registration using Aadhar Card details, 10th class certificate, and a valid email ID/mobile number. A unique Registration ID will be generated.
- Step 3: Application Form Filling: Log in using the ID. Fill in personal, educational (Graduation details are mandatory), and post preference details. Rank your preferred posts (e.g., Station Master 1st, Goods Guard 2nd).
- Step 4: Fee Payment: Pay the application fee (Rs. 500/- or Rs. 250/-) before the deadline. Keep the transaction ID safe for the fee refund process.
- Step 5: Document Upload: Upload a recent, passport-sized color photograph (strictly adhering to the size/format/date specification) and a clear signature. Poor quality uploads lead to rejection.
- Step 6: Final Submission & Print: Review the entire form, especially the RRB choice and Post Preferences. Finalize the submission and MUST print out the acknowledgement slip/final application form for future reference and fee refund claim.
Warning! Key Mistakes to Avoid
- Uploading an Old Photo: Ensure the photograph is recent (taken within the last three months) and meets the exact size/background specifications.
- Incorrect Bank Details: The fee refund is automated. Double-check your bank account number and IFSC code (provided during registration) for accurate refund transfer.
- Applying to Multiple RRBs: Do not apply to more than one RRB zone. This will lead to the cancellation of all your applications.
- Missing the CBT-1 Exam: You MUST appear for CBT-1 to be eligible for the fee refund.
