MPESB POLICE SI 2025

1. Selection Process Overview

The MP Police SI selection typically consists of three main stages:

  1. Written Examination: Two papers (Technical and Non-Technical, depending on the post).
  2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
  3. Interview / Personality Test.

2. Written Examination Pattern (300 Marks Total)

The written test is divided into two papers. Candidates must attempt the papers relevant to their applied post (Subedar, Sub-Inspector GD, or Sub-Inspector Technical).

Paper 1: Technical & Non-Technical (Common and Technical Posts) - 200 Marks

This paper is crucial for all posts.

3. Detailed Syllabus (Paper 1)

A. Hindi Language (70 Marks)

  • Common Errors / Correction of Sentences
  • Synonyms and Antonyms
  • Vocabulary (Tatsam-Tadbhav, Vyakaran)
  • Phrases and Idioms
  • One Word Substitution
  • Comprehension (Reading Passages)
  • Hindi Grammar (Sandhi, Samaas, Kriya, Visheshan, etc.)

B. English Language (30 Marks)

  • Tenses, Voice (Active/Passive), Narration (Direct/Indirect)
  • Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions
  • Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, One-word substitution)
  • Error Detection, Sentence Improvement
  • Fill in the Blanks, Cloze Test
  • Unseen Passages (Reading Comprehension)

C. General Knowledge (100 Marks)

  • Madhya Pradesh General Knowledge (MP GK): History, Geography, Culture, Economy, Polity, Famous Personalities, Wildlife Sanctuaries of MP.
  • Indian History: Ancient, Medieval, and Modern History.
  • Indian Geography: Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India.
  • Indian Polity & Constitution: Features, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles, Parliament.
  • Indian Economy: Basic concepts, Five-Year Plans, Banking.
  • General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (up to 10th standard).
  • Current Affairs: National, International, and State events, Sports, Awards, Books, Schemes.

4. Physical Standard and Efficiency Test (PET/PMT)

Candidates who qualify the Written Exam are called for the Physical Tests. The PET is qualifying in nature.
